Michelle Linford has been the Executive Director of EPIK Deliberate Digital since May 2014: our focus has been on facilitating cross-sector and cross-generational collaboration around building a #UseTech4Good culture. Our work has given us opportunities to involve youth voices; influence policy (first Digital Citizenship bill in the United States, now supporting Utah's Digital Wellness bill (HB372, signed into law in 2020); participate in panels and presentations locally, nationally, and internationally; host two internationally-reaching conferences, including the 3rd annual DigCitSummit; write a chapter for Wiley's International Encyclopedia on Media Literacy; publish a collaborative white paper on how Prevention Science and Media Literacy can inform efforts toward a more positive Digital Citizenship culture. Michelle's favorite part of her work is collaborating with passionate people (youth and adults alike) who care about making a positive difference in the digital age. She recently completed the Digital Wellness Certification course offered by the Digital Wellness Institute and is excited to help share what she has learned.
