About this Speaker

Dr. Habib completed undergraduate studies in science and psychology at the University of Alberta and University of Leeds in the UK. She then graduated with a Doctorate of Optometry and BSc degree from The New England College of Optometry in Boston and has since completed yoga teacher training, strategic business marketing and co-founded a non-profit organization—The Make Change Project, connecting donors with recipients through personalized giving. She has international clinical experience with a focus on product development and the physiological and psychological impact of screen time. She is the co-founder of Umay, a consumer wellness company developing a Thermal Meditation™ device to help improve sleep hygiene and transform the bedtime routine into a wellness ritual. Mother of 6-year-old twins, she is a strong wellness advocate with special interests in mindfulness and meditation, ayurvedic philosophy and yoga - always looking at ways to integrate self-care and wellness into daily living.
